Whistler Wines - 2004 Merlot
Red : Merlot

From someone who prefers coonawarra reds, this merlot was really good. I had it with a porterhouse steak tonight and then with colby cheese afterwards. The cheese and merlot were a match made in heaven

Tempus Two Wines - Semillon sauvignon Blanc
White : White Blend

Quite an nice white this one. I had it with a cold prawn coctail, and also with crumbed whiting fillets and salt and pepper wedges. THe pepper of the wedges really highlighted the fruity flavour of this wine, however it still had a slight drying aftertaste which seem to balance the whole meal out. It was sweeter than expected, but a nice surprise

Majella - 2007 Musician Shiraz Cabernet
Red : Red Blend

Nice spicy and smokey characters with the usual Eucalyptus taste. This would be a great wine to share with picky guests. I had this with beef casserole but would prefer to have by itself or with light platters. will buy again.

amazing value for price for the typical red to have with pasta and pizza. pleasant nose and soft tannins so you can drink alot of this in one night.

Cape Jaffa Wines - 2004 Cab Sauv
Red : Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark Berry smell. Soft warm length. It was pretty good for an auction wine. I had a glass after seafood dinner. Easy to drink, lots of flavours.
